Michael Rogers

Michael currently maintains his studio in upstate New York where he concentrates on installations, site specific works and performative sketches.

He is active with a non-profit arts organization in Riga, Latvia, IRMA Collaborative working on international projects creative, educational, and curatorial.

“My subject matter is never set, but rather a moving target. I focus on life as it's changing. I'm a proponent of the poetic, the lyrical, and I seek that out. Narrative and metaphor are important. Making art is a way for me to think in a way I couldn't otherwise and to assimilate my experience.”
